Demi AI allows users (aged 13 and older) worldwide to count calories through voice input and manage their diet. Our app operates on a subscription-based model for premium features. We only collect information necessary to provide and improve our services, and we do not use your data for marketing or share it with third parties for their own use. Information We Collect

We collect personal and usage information to create your account, provide the app’s functionality, and improve your experience. The types of information we collect include:

• Email Address: When you sign in using Sign in with Apple, we receive the email address associated with your Apple ID (you may choose to share your real email or an anonymous relay email through Apple). This email is used for account creation, authentication, and to communicate important account-related information (e.g., password resets or essential notices).
• Profile Information: During signup, we ask you to provide certain personal details such as your name, weight, height, and age. We use this information to personalize the app’s experience for you – for example, to tailor calorie calculations or nutritional guidance based on your profile. This data is stored in your account so you can view and update your profile within the app.
• Voice Input Data: Demi AI features calorie counting via voice input. When you use voice commands to log food or calories, the app processes your voice recording to convert it into text and identify the food items and their calorie content. This voice data is only used for the immediate purpose of recognizing your input and logging your entry. We do not permanently store the raw voice recordings. Only the interpreted text (e.g., the food item and calorie count you spoke) and resulting calorie log are saved to your account history.
• Usage and Analytics Information: To help us improve Demi AI and fix issues, we automatically collect certain usage data through third-party analytics services (such as Mixpanel). This may include details like the features you use, actions taken in the app (e.g., number of entries logged), session duration, and other interaction information. We may also collect basic device information (such as your device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers) and general location information (e.g., country or region, based on IP address). This data is collected in an aggregated or pseudonymous form and does not directly identify you. It helps us understand user engagement and preferences so we can enhance functionality and user experience.
• Subscription and Purchase Information: Demi AI is a subscription-based app for premium features. When you purchase a subscription through Apple’s App Store, we receive information necessary to validate and manage your subscription via our partner RevenueCat. This includes data like your subscription status (active or expired), the type of plan you subscribed to, and transaction identifiers or receipts from Apple (no credit card information is accessible to us). We use this information to confirm your purchase and ensure you receive the features you paid for. This purchase data is linked to your account but is not used for any purpose other than managing your subscription access.

We do not collect any other personal information such as your physical address, phone number, or contacts. We also do not access your photos, files, health kit data, or any other data on your device without your permission. The information you provide and that we gather is strictly limited to what is needed for Demi AI’s functionality and improvement.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to operate, maintain, and improve the Demi AI app and to support you as a user. Specifically, we use your information for the following purposes:

• Providing and Personalizing the Service: Your data enables core app functionality. We use your profile information (age, weight, height) to personalize calorie calculations or recommendations. When you log calories (including via voice input), we process and save those entries so you can track your diet and progress over time. Your email and authentication data allow you to securely sign in and access your account across your iOS devices.
• Account Management and Authentication: We use your Sign in with Apple credentials (email and Apple-provided unique identifier) to create and maintain your user account. This lets you securely log in to Demi AI. We might use your email to verify your account or to send critical notifications, such as confirming account deletion requests or important changes to the service or this policy.
• Subscription Management: If you subscribe to premium features, we use your subscription information to manage your access. For example, our system will check your subscription status via RevenueCat to unlock premium content or features for your account. We may also send you receipts or confirmation messages regarding your subscription (as facilitated by Apple) and notify you of any changes to your subscription status (such as an upcoming renewal or expiration), if necessary.
• Voice Input Processing: When you use the voice logging feature, we temporarily use your voice data to transcribe and interpret your command (e.g., understanding that you ate a certain food with a certain number of calories). This processing may use on-device capabilities or secure cloud processing. The information derived from your voice (the text and calorie data) is then used to update your food log. We do not use your voice recordings for any other purpose, and as noted, we do not keep the audio after processing is complete.
• Improvement and Analytics: We continuously strive to make Demi AI better. We use analytics data (via Mixpanel and similar tools) to understand how users interact with our app. For example, we look at aggregated usage patterns to see which features are most popular or where users encounter errors. This helps us identify bugs, plan new features, and make design decisions that improve usability. All analytics and usage information is used internally for product improvement and never for advertising or profiling you outside of our app’s scope.
• Communication: While we do not send marketing emails, we may use your email address or in-app notifications to send important messages related to the service.
